Going into Hibernation

Hello all, and Happy Wednesday! I don't have much to post about but thought I would do it anyway. We haven't done much lately - I am beginning to liken myself to a slow, sloth-like animal. I spent most of the weekend locked away studying, so I appreciate friends and family having patience with my inability to return phone calls and not erasing my name from their cell phones. Okay, I won't kid myself...but to the one person who is waiting for a phone call - Thanks for letting me study! I took Reg on Monday during my MLK Day holiday (I'm not complaining) and it went okay. It was definitely better than last time but it might not have been a 75. I can always try, try again!

So I never really did a New Year's Resolutions post, but you know I have some. Here is what I would like to accomplish in 2008:

1.) Lose weight (about the 18th consecutive appearance on the list, and counting)
2.) Pass the CPA exam for the LOVE OF GOD! (i'm not even trying to be funny)
3.) Finish painting the upstairs
4.) Read one book a month for fun
5.) Become more involved at North Church
6.) Join a not-for-profit board
7.) Run the entire mini marathon in under 2 hours and 30 minutes
8.) Save money for Europe 2009! (And convince my husband that he's dying to go to Europe!)
9.) Become the master of my sewing machine

There are more unattainable goals on this list, but I don't want to bore you.

I kind of like the idea of not sharing your resolutions until about a month into the year. That way you've had time to wipe the really outrageous ones out of your mind for good, since you've already broken them.

What are some things that you would like to accomplish in 2008, or in your life?

P.S. - One more for me - I would like to sip a mint julip at the Kentucky Derby wearing a fabulous hat.

I leave you with some pictures from a Jan Term trip I took in 2004 to six European countries...thanks Mom and Dad!

Wow! That's one ambitious list. I think I'll compile one for my own bad self - You inspire me.
